Hello Everyone. My name is Lillian and I am not a blogger, but I just love reading all the blogs on this site.
I am a retired high school teacher with many interests.
I have joined an amazing group of Seniors who communicate on line and help each other every way we can. Our group finds ways to help in our communities. At present, we are focused on Senior Fitness for ourselves and all seniors. We have found wonderful people on GLCzone who give us great information and we thank them all.

Hello all. My name is Sandi. I am a cancer survivor. I started my blog when I was diagnosed wih Hodgkin's Lymphoma 2 weeks after finding out I was pregnant. I had chemotherapy during my pregnancy, delivered a healthy baby last November and am currently in remission as of February 2008. My blog documents my experiences. Welcome! I have visited the sites you talked about and I find that even though the forum here at GLCzone is very new, it is it's so much safer and more comfortable than the others. I feel great talking to people here, as I never feel judged or as if people are here to debate or argue. I DEFINITELY find that on some of the other sites. I'm not knocking them at all, so I hope no one takes it that way, but I guess when you're dealing with health related issues, people can tend to be a bit more sensitive about things and I'm so glad to be able to come here to ask questions of others either in the forum or privately and to be able to get great information and compassion.

I, too, had an experience on another site. Several people did not agree with what I had to say, and they attacked me. My friends on GLCzone know me. I am very NON CONFRONTATIONAL and very easy going. I was shocked and blown away from such unkind behavior. Not for me!! I am so happy here at GLCzone, and here is where I will stay.

Brad, Just to let you know I have also had some negative experiences on other discussion sites. People here seem to be more gentle if they disagree with you.

Just happen to see you post this Scott and I have to agree with you. I have not been invloved, but have seen some nasty back and forth discussions on some sites. I do not care for that, I find it very unnecessary.

Just passing by and had to say I am so happy to see these back and forth discussions. This is going to be one great forum. So glad you are all here.

I actually don't have a blog. I would call myself a blog reader. LOL! I just don't really have it in me to write articles and such, but I do LOVE to read blogs and I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE being a part of a forum like this one where I can be a part of such great discussions.

There are so many topics to choose from at any given point to answer questions in or ask questions in. I just love it here. I believe there are others like me here who just read and comment, but don't have their own blogs! I think it's great. It sure takes up a lot of my time too! LOL! What did I do before GLCzone? LOL!

My name is Devin Hakala, MS, LMFT, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Wisconsin. I started my blog (http://MentalEmotionalHealth.com ) in February, 2008. My goals were to encourage others through sharing some of my thoughts as a Clinical Therapist, practice my writing, and connect with positive people who are interested in wellness.

I am a full time Grandma who has helped my daughter raise her children. Now, they are telling me what to do! They found this site (GLCzone) and helped me to get on line and become active. Hello, my name is Lauren, and I have been reading blogs and following the forum on this site, but it was not until now I felt I had to register so that my voice will be heard.

Friends, you do NOT understand what a Panic Attack is if you do not suffer from this disorder or have someone very close to you suffering.

It is not a "big anxiety attack" as many call it. Anxiety is related, but they are two different things happening to you.

It is so difficult to explain what happens when an attack occurs. Although you know you are not having a heart attack or dying, that is what if feels like. You are rational, and that is important that people do understand. BUT, you are beyond scared, nauseous, diarrhea hot, sweaty, shaky, heart racing, just what to scream, pull your hair out, do anything to stop this horrible thing that is taking over your mind.
