| Personal Statement: | I am a former actor, punk rock musician, sex-industry worker and heroin addict and am currently a professor of psychology. I have been in recovery for nearly 15 years. My blog chronicles the journey of my life as an addict and as a recovering addict through the process of writing my memoir. I also seek to address problems facing addicts and solutions for those in recovery, as well as to raise awareness about the need for free and available treatment. |
